Iran’s pharmaceutic, medical equipment exports up 50%

Iran has exported $103 million worth of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment since the beginning of current fiscal year, started on March 21, Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mojtaba Khosrotaj said Nov.4.

He added that the value indicate a 50% growth year-on-year.

Iran itself imports $1 billion worth of drugs a year. Iran’s drugs market value is estimated to be around $2.3-2.5 billion annually.
