The inflation rate reached 37.6 percent during the third month of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019) compared to the previous 12 months, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Statistical Center’s report.
The inflation rate reached 30.6 percent during the first month of this Iranian year.
According to the report, the price index reached 174.9 percent last month, which is 0.8 percent more compared to the previous month.
Compared to the second month of the current Iranian year, in the third month, consumers spent on average 50.4 percent more money on goods and services.
The price index increased by 0.2 percent in the sector of food, beverages and tobacco products, while by 1.3 percent – in the sector of non-food items and services last month compared to the previous month.
The price change reached 75 percent for the first group while 40.4 percent for the second group last month compared to the previous month.
