Non-oil exports from Iran's South Khorasan Province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. Iran's non-oil exports from South Khorasan Province, located in the northwestern region of the country, increased by 70 percent in value terms and 45 percent in weight terms in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), director general of the Customs Administration of Iran's South Khorasan Province Mohammad Kouhgerd said, Trend reports.

According to him, 1.26 million tons of products worth $187 million were exported from Iran's South Khorasan province last year.

Kouhgerd added that cement, light hydrocarbons, diesel fuel, passenger car tires, eggs, horticultural products, ceramics, and others were mainly exported from the province.

The official stated that the products were mainly exported to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Iraq.

To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, Iran's exports of non-oil products in the last Iranian year amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion. Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms compared to the previous year.
