Georgian President Signs Peace Plan on Settlement of Georgia-Russia Conflict

Georgia, Tbilisi, 11 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ Georgian President signed a peace plan on settlement of the crisis on the background of Russian aggression. According to Georgia's Rustavi 2 television company, the details of the plan were not divulged.

Mikheil Saakashvili decided to sign the plan in order to stop Russia's military actions in Georgia to avoid civilian victims resulting from Russian aircrafts' bombing.

The plan signed by Saakashvili will be delivered to Moscow on 11 August by Foreign Minister of France, which is chairing the European Council, Bernard Kouchner and Foreign Minister of Finland, which is chairing the Organization for Cooperation and Security in Europe (OSCE), Alexander Stubb. They will submit the document to Russian President and country's Foreign Minister for signing.

The Ministers are visiting Gori and are meeting with the refugees at the moment.
