According to the President, insurance is either too expensive or free of charge used by poor people in Georgia.

Majority of citizens can't either obtain expensive insurance or come with free of charge.

President's initiative includes payment of insurance fees under co-financing according to which an individual formalized insurance policy for 5 lari and pays 1.65 lari. The rest money is paid by the government.

Upon this policy, the citizens can receive a medical service worth 8,000 lari per year.

"This is our proposal to develop insurance market and provide people with necessary medical aid to eliminate cases when people are not served in hospitals," the president said.
