"We want Georgian-Azerbaijanis to be successful," Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said at a meeting at the Zurab Zhvania Public Administration School in Kutaisi today.

Saakashvili met with 80 Azerbaijanis who are studying the Georgian language at the institution.

"Of course, Azerbaijanis should first know their native language, and then Georgian, which creates equal opportunities for them in the country. This applies to all ethnic groups in Georgia," he stressed.

Saakashvili expressed his satisfaction with that Azerbaijanis and other ethnic groups have shown an increasing desire to learn the state language.

"These trends indicate that our principle that Georgia belongs to all ethnic groups is being implemented," he said.

During the meeting, Saakashvili wished success to the Azerbaijanis.
