Strong winds which began on Monday morning in Tbilisi, damaged the Telasi Company's 110-kilovolt power line, supplying the Digomi-1 and Digomi-2 substations.

As a result, Didi Digomi and Digomi Massif areas remain without power, the head of Telasi's Department of Public Relations Valery Pantsulaia told Trend on Monday.

According to the information, some 23,800 customers and vital facilities including hospitals in Digomi, the Imedi TV Company and police patrol and main police office and the U.S. Embassy all lost power.

"Right now maintenance crews are working to restore the power. Presumably work will be completed in the second half of the day when customers will fully regain power," Pantsulaia said.
