Georgian Interior Minister Irakli Garibashvil is on an official visit to Israel.
Garibashvili today held a meeting with Israeli Minister of Defence and Communication Gilad Erdan, the Georgian Interior Ministry told Trend on Thursday.
According to the ministry, a Memorandum of Understanding on emergency management was signed at the meeting.
Georgian Minister and Acting Foreign Minister Zeev Elkin met. The cooperation between the two countries and their future plans were discussed.
The Georgian Interior Minister inspected a border patrol base and watched drills.
Minister Irakli Garibashvili plans to meet with Minister of State Security Yitzhak Aranovich and other officials of the Israeli government.
