Georgian President, Prime Minister of Thailand discuss bilateral relations

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili discussed the issues of bilateral relations with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Yingluck Shinawatra.

During the discussion special attention was paid to the non-recognition of the breakaway Georgian territories, administration of the Georgian president told Trend.

As the President of Georgia after a meeting with Yingluck Shinawatra, he intends to take strong action to prevent recognition of the breakaway regions of Georgia - Abkhazia and South Ossetia, by the countries of the world.

Saakashvili offered to representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia actively involved in his trip.

"We're doing the same thing and I always suggested the government put in my ministerial delegation, but has not yet received approval. I am ready to work in this direction, since our interest in this matter is one, and it serves to strengthen the state," he said.

The parties also discussed economic cooperation.

Saakashvili and Shinawatra and touched a 20-year experience of the diplomatic relations between the two countries and expressed the need for deepening them.

As noted in the administration, Mikheil Saakashvili will take part in the Second Asia - Pacific Summit.

Some 2,000 high-ranking officials from 37 countries in the region will attend to the Summit.
