Georgian Defense Minister to discuss regional security in Lithuania

Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania paid an official visit to Lithuania. He will meet with his Lithuanian counterpart Uzas Olekass.
The parties will sign an agreement on the resumption of bilateral cooperation in the defense sector. He also plans to meet with chairman of the Lithuanian Parliamentary National Security and Defense Committee Arturas Paulauskas and members of the committee.
The Minister will also visit the Military Academy and hold a meeting with management. He will also visit the Foreign Ministry.
The Georgian Defense Ministry said today that Irakli Alasania will take part in the "Eastern Partnership" workshop and will deliver speech at the first panel "EU as a guarantor of security in the neighboring region" within the official visit.
The visit will end on July 3.
