Over a quarter of Georgian exports fell to Azerbaijan in January-August 2013, the Georgian Statistics Service's report on foreign trade said today.

This means goods worth $468.04 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan in January -August 2013 or 26.6 per cent of the country's total export volume during the period.

Exports to Azerbaijan increased by 16.97 per cent compared to the same period in 2012. For comparison, Georgian goods worth $400.13 million were exported to Azerbaijan in January- August last year.

Armenia ranks second place. Georgian goods worth $198.65 million (11.3 per cent of a total export volume) were exported to this country in January -August 2013.

Turkey ranks third in terms of the export volume of Georgian goods. Goods worth $121.02 million were exported to this country, or 6.9 per cent of a total volume of Georgia's export in January -August 2013.

Georgia exported goods were worth $1.76 billion in January- August 2013, or by 13.42 per cent more than in the same period of 2012.
