Tbilisi, Georgia, Nov.25

By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

First Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani presented a potential list of new ambassadors on Nov.25. The list of these ambassadors will be submitted to the president thereafter.

"After the signing of decrees by the president, we will be able to send their credentials. The candidates for seven countries were presented, including: Ambassador to Germany Lado Chanturia, Ambassador to Bulgaria - Zurab Beridze, China - David Aptsiauri, Uzbekistan - Konstantin Zhgenti, Jordan - Grigol Tabatadze and Japan - Levan Tsintsadze," Zalkaliani said.

It should be stressed that Georgia hasn't had ambassadors in these country's for one and a half years, as ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili didn't sign the appointment of the proposed candidacies for these posts.

Most of the proposed candidates served during Eduard Shevardnadze's tenure.
