"Masdar" company of the United Arab Emirates is interested in investing in solar and wind energy in Georgia, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava and company representatives discussed this issue at the meeting within the framework of the official visit of the Georgian delegation to the United Arab Emirates.
"The new solar power plants developed by "Masdar" company are characterized by low energy tariffs, which is extremely important, especially now when oil, petroleum products, natural gas prices are rising all over the world. That is why we are implementing the agreement on joint projects at a fast pace,” Georgian minister said.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Davit Tvalabeishvili and Director of Georgian Energy Development Fund JSC Giorgi Chikovani. The sides discussed issues of future cooperation and investment by the company in the Georgian energy sector.
"Masdar" company is a global leader in renewable energy and sustainable urban development, developing renewable energy projects in the international market and improving innovation in clean technologies.
