The number of tourists from Turkey traveling to Georgia in November 2021 totaled 32,577 people, which is a decrease of 20.2 percent compared to October 2021 (38,829 visitors), Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.
However, the same figure is an increase of 83.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2020 (17,780 visitors).
Meanwhile, 293,866 people visited Georgia from Turkey from January through November 2021, which is a decrease of 7 percent, compared to 315,882 tourists over the same period of 2020
The same figure decreased by 72.7 percent in the reporting period of 2021, compared to first 11 months of 2019 (before the COVID-19 pandemic), when 1.07 million people visited Georgia from Turkey.
Thus, Turkey ranks 1 among TOP-10 main countries of origin for tourists arriving in Georgia in the reporting period of 2021.
The total number of international visitors to Georgia from January through November 2021 amounted to 1.66 million visitors, which is a decrease of 1.6 percent, compared to 1.69 million over the same period of 2020.
