Georgia’s coal and coal products imports from Azerbaijan from January through November 2021 totaled $140,390, while the volume amounted to 877 tons, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).
According to Geostat, coal and coal product exports to Georgia from Azerbaijan only in November 2021 totaled $35,230 – a decrease of 3.7 percent, compared to $36,620 worth of exports in October 2021.
Meanwhile, Georgia did not import coal and coal products from Azerbaijan in 2020.
Thus, Azerbaijan ranked 4th among top coal and coal products exporters to Georgia over first 11 months of 2021, following after Russia ($7.2 million), Kazakhstan ($719,030), and Turkey ($576,890).
Georgia’s total coal and coal products import from January through November 2021 amounted to $8.6 million, which is a decrease of 36.2 percent, compared to $13.5 million over the same period of 2020.
