Georgia publishes COVID-19 data for January 19

Georgia reported 8,728 new COVID-19 cases, 8,545 recoveries, and 43 deaths over the past 24 hours, Trend reports via the Georgian government's StopCov website.

A total of 63,605 tests have been conducted over the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 33,350 tests were rapid, while the remaining 30,255 were PCR tests.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 1 million people, among them, 943,212 have recovered and 14,555 have died.

There are 43 people currently in quarantine, 4,386 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized. Some 1,896 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are placed into government-assigned facilities.

As of January 19, more than 2.6 million people got the COVID-19 vaccine, and 9,340 were vaccinated over the past 24 hours.
