BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. Czech Development Agency, in cooperation with Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), has started the implementation of a new project in Georgia regarding food safety, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tbilisi told Trend.

The EU-funded project, within the framework of the European Neighborhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD IV) is aimed at Georgia’s sustainable development and improving food security and conditions for people.

According to the FAO representative, more details on the current project will be revealed later this year and the actual operation date is due in summer 2022.

Meanwhile, the Czech Embassy, the Czech Development Agency, as well as the implementing partners of the projects are in constant contact with the relevant authorities on the national and local levels, the source said.

"Due to the focus of our interventions, our closest partners are the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, the Agency for Protected Areas, the Forestry Agency, the Ministry of Health, the State Care Agency, and various municipalities," the Czech Embassy noted.
