The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) is following with concern the ongoing events in the Republic of Tunisia, a founding member of the OIC, organization's press release said on Friday.
The General Secretariat while considering these events an internal matter in Tunisia, confirms its solidarity with the Tunisian people and calls upon all Tunisians to preserve security and stability and to protect the public and private properties and maintain their achievements.
The OIC General Secretariat hopes that Tunisia would overcome these events through solidarity and unity of its people and their aspirations for enhancing democracy and good governance in accordance with the country's constitutional and legal systems.
