(dpa) - As Lebanon marks the third anniversary of the assassination of former premier Rafik Hariri, Arab League chief Amr Mussa said Thursday that the country lacked Hariri's spirit of hope and the will to live and build.

Mussa, whose mediation efforts to resolve Lebanon's political standoff have so far yielded few results, said the anniversary would be more effective if the Lebanese worked together towards national unity as it is the key to the country's stability.

Lebanon's majority coalition and Hezbollah-led opposition have been at loggerheads over their representation in a proposed cabinet of national unity. The deep disagreements are standing in the way of electing a president.
