( dpa ) - Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is launching a solo tour to help promote his acclaimed soundtrack for Sean Penn's movie Into The Wild.
Vedder won a Golden Globe for the track Guaranteed, but was a surprise omission when Oscar nominations were announced last month. He will attempt to overcome the disappointment with an April Fools tour of west coast locations in Canada and the US, which will see him play just seven gigs in Vancouver and along the California coast.
