( dpa ) - The First Berlin-Amman Middle East Forum (BAMEF) will be held in Amman Tuesday with the participation of government institutions, think tanks and media leaders from the two countries, the German embassy said in a statement Sunday.
The function, to be organized on a yearly rotating basis in Amman and Berlin, aims at underlining "commitment to fruitful dialogue between Germany, Europe and regional partners on political, economic and cultural issues prospects of peace in the region", the statement said.
Key speakers at the one-day meeting will include former German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer and Jordanian Foreign Minister Salah Bashir.
