( AFP ) - Police in Spain's northern Basque region have detained two suspected members of the armed Basque separatist group ETA, a spokeswoman for the Basque regional government's interior ministry said Sunday.
The two were detained as part of a regular anti-terrorism operation in the Basque province of Vizcaya which is ongoing, she told AFP.
The detention of the two suspects comes two days after ETA released a statement calling on Basques to boycott Spain's general elections on March 9.
