Newly-promoted Bundesliga side Cologne reached the second round of the German Cup when they defeated lower league side Niederauerbach 5-1 on Thursday evening, the dpa reported.
Goals from Lebanese midfielder Roda Antar in the 15th minute and new Portugal signing Petit seven minutes later put Cologne in charge at the regional fifth division outfit.
Enrico Simon pulled one back for the home side in the 27th minute before an own goal by Daniel Paulus two minutes before the break made it 3-1.
Cologne completed the victory with goals in the 71st minute from Milivoje Novakovic and the 79th from Matthias Scherz.
The remaining first-round matches are being played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
