Ukrainian MPs Seek Presidential Secretariat Head’s Discharge from Office

Ukraine, Kiev, 5 September / Trend corr. Z.Novosvitski/ Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) sent to country's President Viktor Yushchenko the deputy request of Vladimir Stretovich (from pro-presidential group Our Ukraine-People's Self-defence) and Vladimir Sivkovich (from Party of Regions group) to dismiss Viktor Baloga from the position of Presidential Secretariat's Head.


A total of 323 out of 385 MPs registered in the hall voted for submission of the request to the President.


The MPs want Baloga be discharged from the office for "he impeded activities of MPs and shielded illegal land operations".
