A string of bomb attacks in various parts of Iraq has killed at least seven people, including a policeman and two soldiers, while leaving more than 40 others injured, Press TV reported.
In Fallujah, an explosive-laden car rammed into a police checkpoint on Monday, killing two people including one policeman, police major Khalid Mohammed told AFP.
The attack also wounded seven people, including three police officers, added the officer.
In Mosul, separate roadside bombings on Monday killed two Iraqi soldiers and wounded four others as they were on patrol in the west of the restive northern city, said a local policeman who declined to be identified.
In Iskandiriyah, which is located to the south of Baghdad, a bomb attack killed a Shia pilgrim and wounded three others, the local police said.
Two attacks just outside Hilla, 120 kilometers (75 miles) south of Baghdad, left two dead and 27 wounded, police and medical officials in the town said.
In the first attacks, a car bomb exploded near a police checkpoint outside the ruins of Babylon north of Hilla, killing one person and injuring nine. In the other attack, a vehicle exploded west of the city, killing one person and wounding 18. Five of the wounded were reported to be in critical conditions.
