The ongoing Chinese Super League (CSL) might be suspended if the H1N1 virus spreads among soccer clubs, source from the Chinese Football Association (CFA) was quoted as saying on Friday, Xinhua reported.

According to newspaper Titan Sports, the CFA agreed to postpone Sunday's match between Chongqing Lifan and Hangzhou Lvcheng as eight Chongqing players had been confirmed H1N1 flu infected.

The Chongqing team, including Dutch coach Arie Haan, has been put into quarantine at the club's training base, Titan said.

Further arrangements were also discussed at the soccer governing body's emergency meeting on Thursday afternoon, according to Titan Sports.

A source inside told Titan that the whole league could be halted if the flu brought down half squad of most clubs.
