Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen visited an air force base of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in this east China's Shandong Province, Xinhua reported.
The base is a terminal of the 19th Division of the Air Command under the PLA Jinan Military Area Command mainly with Su-27 fighters stationed there.
Senior Colonel Liu Guoyun, the division's commander, accompanied Mullen and his entourage to visit the base and see a flying show.
Mullen was in China as guest of Chen Bingde, chief of PLA's General Staff, for a visit starting from July 9.
