(RIA Novosti) - An Uzbek national threatened to set himself on fire at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow if he was not granted an American visa, law enforcement agencies said Friday, reports Trend.
"On Thursday about 14.00 Moscow time, a 50-year-old Uzbek national demanded an entry visa to America at the consular section of the U.S. Embassy," a source said. "Otherwise, he threatened to set himself on fire. Embassy officials called the police and the man was detained."
The embassy neither confirmed nor denied the report.
