(ForUm) - Victor Yushchenko has met with Israel's Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres in Berlin, Germany, reports Trend.
The President said Ukraine was now engaged in a profound political discussion aimed at uniting the country and major political forces to uphold national values. He added that Ukraine was being politically re-structured, which he sees as a new, seminal period in the country's history, the president press office informs.
President Yushchenko reiterated that our foreign course would not change and said Ukraine was ready for political and economic cooperation with Israel.
Mr. Peres stated that Israel is now seeking closer economic ties with Ukraine, which can later strengthen our political relations. He also said Israel strived to improve its relations with Palestine
