Ukraine scales up extracted gas volume

(ForUm) - According to the Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Ministry, the volume of extracted gas (natural and associated petroleum gas) increased by 1.6 percent in January - September 2006 in Ukraine, as compared with the 2005 similar period, up to 15,539.1 bn. cu. m. Of that figure the extraction of natural gas increased by 0.7 percent, up to 711.8 M. cu. m.

Enterprises of the national joint-stock company "NaftoGaz Ukrainy" over nine months extracted 14,388.1 bn. cu. m. of gas, which was a 0.8 percent-increase, including 13,681.4 bn. cu. m of natural gas (+0.4 %), the Cabinet's press office reports.

Enterprises of the national joint-stock company "Nadra Ukrainy" over nine months extracted 383.925 M. cu. m. of natural gas, reports Trend.

Ukraine's annual consumption of natural gas amounts to some 75 - 76 bn. cu. m.
