(ForUm) - Victor Yushchenko met with Council of Europe's Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammerberg, president's press office reproted.
The President reassured him Ukraine would fulfill its obligations as a member of the Council of Europe, reports Trend.
They spoke about how to tackle the AIDS/HIV issue in Ukraine. Yushchenko said Ukraine sought to enhance cooperation in this area with the Council of Europe, as well as with other international organizations.
He also thanked Hammerberg for honoring the victims of the 1932-1933 Soviet-era famine and Babyn Yar.
