( ForUm ) - The Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Russia to Ukraine Viktor Chernomyrdin considers that price for Russian gas for Ukraine will not be changed this year. He told yesterday at the video conference for Ukrainian and Russian journalists.

"I do not think that the price for gas will be changed this year, as there is price agreement," he said, adding that there is no reasons for price increase now.

At the same time he said that next year the price for gas will be increased. "It is obvious, it will be also changed in Russia for Russian citizens," he noted.

According to him, what price will be next year is the question of market relations.

As a reminder, Vladimir Putin the Russian President told on June 4 that Ukraine used Russian gas by reduced prices that contributed to losses of Russian economy.

"15 years we subsidize Ukraine with law price for Russian gas. We do not intend to do it any more," Putin said.
