Explosion kills two Turkish soldiers

In a separate clash in Yuksekova town of the southeastern province of Hakkari, one security officer died, the General Staff said in a statement posted on its web-site. A blast killed two soldiers in the southeastern province of Sirnak on Friday, local authorities said.

Two soldiers died when explosives, earlier planted by the PKK militants, went off near Sirnak's Guneycam village, local authorities also said.

The General Staff also said that one militant was captured in Idil town of the southeastern province of Sirnak on Thursday, and another surrendered to security forces in Sirnak's Silopi town.
