As many as 866 cars have been delivered from the Turkish port of Samsun to the Russian port of Temruk from January through July 2021, and 879 in the opposite direction, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
Thus, the transportation between the two ports during the specified period amounted to 1,745 cars.
The ports of Turkey totally have handled over 1.18 million cars in the first seven months of 2021.
According to the ministry, during the reporting period, ships have delivered 472,022 cars to Turkish ports.
"From January through July 2021, 716,691 cars have been sent from the ports of Turkey," the ministry said.
Totally, in July of this year the Turkish ports handled 145,316 cars.
"This month, Ro-Ro vessels have delivered 58,106 cars to the ports during the reporting month. At the same time, 87,210 cars were sent from the ports," added the ministry.
