The value of steel exports from Turkey to Georgia grew by 14.2 percent from January through August 2021, compared to the same period of 2020, reaching $92.5 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
According to the ministry, in August 2021, Turkey exported steel worth $16.9 million to Georgia, up by 32.2 percent compared to August 2020.
Turkey increased steel exports by 68.7 percent from January through August 2021 compared to the same period of 2020 - up to $13.2 billion.
Turkey exported steel worth $2.29 billion in August 2021, which is 1.6 times more compared to August 2020.
Over the past 12 months (from August 2020 to August 2021), Turkey’s steel exports amounted to $17.9 billion.
