BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20. A total of 3.2 million tons of cargo were transported from Malta to Turkish ports from January through September 2023, Trend reports.
The data of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Türkiye shows that ships under the Turkish flag delivered 38,334 tons of cargo to ports from Malta, and ships under the flags of other countries - 2.1 million tons.
Ships under the flag of Malta delivered one million tons of cargo to the ports of Türkiye during the specified period. In addition, 848,466 tons of transit cargo were transported from Malta to the ports of Türkiye from January through September 2023.
Turkish ports received 292.6 million tons of cargo from January through September 2023 (ships under the flag of Türkiye - 21.7 million tons, ships under the flags of other countries - 270.9 million tons).
In addition, 51.7 million tons of transit cargo were transported from the ports of Türkiye from January through September 2023.
Turkish ports received 394 million tons of cargo in 2022 (ships under the flag of Türkiye - 28.4 million tons, ships under the flags of other countries - 365.6 million tons).
In general, 81 million tons of transit cargo were transported from the ports of Türkiye in 2022.
