The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry has set up a headquarters to solve the consequences of natural disasters in the region due to increased water levels in the Kur River, the ministry reported.
The ministry's Emergency Service in the regions is working at fell speed, the ministry said.
The ministry held a collegiate to ensure the stable operation of communications equipment in regions affected by the disaster.
Minister Ali Abbasov has provided guidance to ensure the implementation of urgent measures to eliminate accidents in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev's decree.
Abbasov gave instructions to support the stability of transmission lines, infrastructure, wireless communications, as well as the implementation of proactive measures.
