An Iranian man charged of hurting women with cold weapon was hanged in Iran’s southern city of Jahrom in public on the morning of Aug. 21.
The 24-year-old man’s mental health was already confirmed by forensic, Mizan news agency reported.
Iran's Supreme Court had previously approved the regional court's sentence.
Reportedly, the young man’s criminal acts caused fear and panic among women and girls in the city.
Murder, rape, armed robbery and trafficking of drugs in quantities exceeding 5 kilograms are among the crimes punishable by death in Iran.
Iran ranks second after China in terms of the number of executions.
