The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry signed a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Southern California, the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles said.
The document was signed during the visit of the ministerial representatives to California. Afterwards, they visited the academic campus of the University of Southern California.
The memorandum was signed by the head of the Information Society development Department under the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry Isbendiyar Aliyev, Viterbi Dean Yannis Yortos Janis Yortos and pro-rector for globalization Kenneth McGillivray.
The University of Southern California is one of the leading and prestigious universities in the United States. The largest number of foreign students studies there. Thus, about 8,000 of 35,000 students are foreigners. The Engineering Faculty University has rich experience in international cooperation. It is known as one of the best staff training centers.
