Armenian armed forces should be withdrawn from occupied Azerbaijani territories for the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a meeting with a delegation led by Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC) Li Zhaoxing, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
Mammadyarov thanked Chinese side for its continued support for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The meeting emphasized the cooperation between the two countries in various spheres over the past 20 years, availability of wide potential for its further development, importance of communication between Azerbaijani and Chinese parliaments, as well as contribution of these visits to the inter-parliamentary relations.
The Chinese delegation head expressed satisfaction with the existing relations, stressed the availability of opportunities for cooperation. He appreciated Azerbaijan's election as UN Security Council non-permanent member and its activities in this organization.
