I am not sure that an issue put forward by France`s Socialistic Party for the French Parliament`s consideration concerning punishing those who do not acknowledge the invented Armenian Genocide will be adopted with an overwhelming majority of votes, Nizami Bakhmanov, Head of the Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh, Head of the Executive Power of Shusha (occupied by Armenians in 1992) told journalists today, Trend reports.
He pointed out that since 1920s; the Armenian lobby has planned to put into force this issue. According to Mr. Bakhmanov, this propaganda has deep historical roots. The French and Armenians jointly struggled against the Ottoman Empire. Then many Armenians settled in France. But, being a State-Co-Chair of OSCE Minsk Group, France should not follow this unfair position, and ought to take into its consideration that Azerbaijan and Turkey is one nation and two states. France`s position is a step aimed at not only against Turkey, but also against the entire Turkic World, told Mr. Bakhmanov.
According to Mr. Bakhmanov, if the law on punishing persons not acknowledging the invented Armenian Genocide is adopted, then it will cause cessation of political and economic relations between Turkey and France. According to him, just historians should be occupied with this issue. Turkey has repeatedly stated that it is a supporter of opening all archives, investigating and studying of fact who and against whom committed the genocide in reality. But, Armenians have propagandized the invented Genocide everywhere they settled after 1918, pointed out Mr. Bakhmanov.
