Chairman of Russia's delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is dissatisfied with the decision taken by the organization.

"If a document regarding our authority, bearing the nature of sanctions, is adopted and they prevent us to express our views in the PACE, we would not need to come here. It is senseless to be present at the PACE, but don't have a right to vote," Chairman of Russian delegation, Konstantin Kosachev, told journalists.

Georgia intends to deprive Russia of its voting rights at the PACE autumn session. This issue is expected to be discussed at a meeting of the PACE session, which will be held on Oct.1.

Kosachev said that he will not be present in the hall during discussions.

"The majority of my colleagues will not attend the discussions. We will express our attitude to the problem in this way. Georgians' continued provocation is not a problem of Russia, but the PACE, which should solve it. It is necessary to make changes so that to prevent our Georgian neighbors from abusing their power and to avoid debating the Russian delegation's authority at the PACE," Kosachev said.
