Today Kanat Saudabayev, OSCE chairman-in-office and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan has a telephone conversation with Miguel Angel Moratinos, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain which currently holds the European Union`s rotating presidency, Kazakh Foreign Ministry told Trend .
"The two sides discussed urgent issues of cooperation between two organizations during the Kazakhstan's presidency in OSCE and Spain in the EU, including considered the prospects of the organizing informal meeting of the OSCE member states' foreign ministers in the summer in Almaty," the Ministry said.
This meeting is planned for the development of the tradition of holding informal meetings of the Foreign Ministers of OSCE participating states, the first of which took place in June 2009 on the island of Corfu, founded by the Greece during its presidency.
"The "without ties" meeting of the OSCE participating states' foreign ministers in Almaty envisages consideration of the agenda and possible dates of the summit of the Organization, initiated by President Nursultan Nazarbayev," said in the press release.
During the conversation Kanat Saudabayev and Miguel Angel Moratinos discussed bilateral relations, including a plan of mutual visits at high level.
