Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili called on the political forces to take great responsibility for the elections during a meeting with the parliamentary majority today.

He said the pre-election campaign has entered into the final stage, and the National Movement, as the most organized and the leading political forces has a double responsibility.

"First is to bring the taken course on the reform and revivak to the end. Second is to hold the exemplarily election so that no one would blame us. This is important both in terms of domestic situation, as well as internationally, including, for our security," Saakashvili said.

According to him, when he calls on political forces to take great responsibility, it doesn't concern those who have direct connection with the invaders, and those who act based on the interests of the country.

The president also touched upon the pre-election promises of some parties and noted that "some people promise the people to send to the Moon and Mars." He said that when the National Movement was in opposition, promised little, but did a lot.
According to Saakashvili, the promise that are voiced by some politicians - free transport, health, etc is "communism, built in the first rank."

"Perhaps now it is difficult for our people, but let no one think that it is possible to fool our people. Some promises are just cosmic scale, and if to multiply Japan's budget by ten, and then it is also not enough to realize them", Saakashvili said.

He said that the main political capital of the National Movement is the fact that it promises a little to the people, but does a lot.
"National Movement approved culture to tell the truth. Lies can not be made policy tool," he said.

The President expressed hope that local elections will take place in an organized and calm atmosphere "despite the efforts of willing to ruin the country.
