Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov considered necessary to create Research Institute of Horse Breeding, national TV channel Altyn Asyr said.
It was discussed when he visited a large equestrian complex in Akhal province. Similar facilities will be built in all provinces of the country soon.
Turkish companies Etkin Yapi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS and Sevincler Insaat Taah. Tic. Ltd. Sti., as well as the Russian company Itera-Inwest-Stroy, Lebanese Goodness International Resources Ltd. are charged with this work.
"The work for breeding of horses should be based on research in this area. Stud-horses should be controlled," Turkmen leader said.
According to the report, all the regional centers will be connected by a system of centralized tote, which allows fans of horse racing at a distance monitor the progress of the competition and make bets.
The racetrack in Akhal province occupies an area of 83 hectares. It will be a complex of extra-class. About 7,000 spectators will watch the race. There will be open seats for 5,000 people and covered seats - for 2,000 people.
Turkmenistan conducts selection and breeding to increase the elite stock, distribute this unique breed in the world. Spring and fall races, with the participation of elite breeds of horses are held at the state level.
Yanardag is Akhal famous stud-horse. It became champion in 1999. It is depicted on the central part of the National Emblem of Turkmenistan.
