Isa Gambar will remain the leader of the Musavat party.
Gambar will not leave the party. He will preserve his status as the party leader and participate in its management, political scientist Gabil Huseynli told Trend today.
"According to the party's charter, all members of the elected bodies cannot remain in their positions for more than two terms," he said. "It is necessary to amend the charter for Gambar to be reelected as the head. That is, the charter must be first amended. Then, a chance must be given for Gambar to participate in the elections."
He said Gambar does not want the chance. He has repeatedly stated that he will not participate in the elections and it is necessary to give a way to young people.
"I know Gambar's character," he said. "I am confident that he will stick to his word."
