The headquarters of the presidential election observation mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Azerbaijan will start its activity tomorrow, the organisation told Trend.

The headquarters of the presidential election observation mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Azerbaijan will start its activity tomorrow, the organisation told Trend.

The report said that tomorrow the First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Vladimir Garkun will meet with the Chairman of Azerbaijani Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov.

A long term observation mission has already been formed. This includes employees of the CIS Executive Committee, as well as representatives of the diplomatic missions of CIS countries accredited in Baku.

The Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee and Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev will lead the CIS observation mission in the presidential election in Azerbaijan which will be held on October 9.
