BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 28. EDGE Company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is actively cooperating with Azerbaijan in the production of ammunition, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE company Hamad Al Marar told Trend in an exclusive interview within the framework of the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition "ADEX 2024", which was held at Baku Expo Center.
“Azerbaijan for us has great strategic potential. We believe that our strategies coincide in the field of defense and security. We believe that Azerbaijan has excellent infrastructure that can benefit us as well as significant potential to improve our own capabilities. This is a bilateral cooperation,” he said.
Hamad Al Marar mentioned that the company provides specific opportunities that can benefit the Azerbaijani Air Force and also hopes to cooperate with other branches of the military.
“We see that any cooperation in this field should start with recognizing the potential of your talented specialists. We are confident that this will lead to outstanding ideas. When developing solutions, we draw on our experience, our geography, and the threats we face. But when it comes to Azerbaijan, we are dealing with a different geography that we have yet to explore. And finally, the infrastructure you have is important. We can benefit greatly from cooperation at the industrial level - be it in the field of software, technology, or systems,” the company's CEO noted.
He also emphasized the importance of EDGE's presence at ADEX.
“We have met high-level delegations from Azerbaijan during the exhibition. Therefore, participation in ADEX shows them our commitment, which strengthens bilateral relations between our countries and supports Azerbaijan's participation in various initiatives. This is another way to show support. Thus, we can support cooperation in the future,” Hamad Al Marar added.
