RESULTS OF PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS IN AZERBAIJAN TO BE CONSIDERED AT SESSION OF CIS IPA

The results of the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will be included into the agenda of the next session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA), the headquarters of the IPA in Saint-Petersburg told Trend.

A group of the CIS countries’ MPs will observe the course of the voting in the parliamentary elections scheduled for 6 November. The IPA delegation led by Secretary General Mikhail Krotov is on visit to Baku. During the meeting with Murtuz Alasgarov, the speaker of the MIlli Majlis (Parliament), and Abbas Abbasov, the first Prime-Minister, Krotov discussed the course of the pre-election campaign, results of the 9th Petersburg international economic forum, as well as preparations for next events.

It should be mentioned that the meeting of the IPA Council will be held in Saint-Petersburg on 17 November, while the plenary session of the IPA will take place on 18 November.
