“Turan Aliyev, the coordinator of Yeni Fikir (New Thought) youth organization, was expulsed from the university,” MP Abel Maharramov, the head of the Baku State University (BSU), told Trend.

Aliyev was expulsed a month ago. The opposition stated that there was political motive in the issue.

Maharramov noted that Aliyev was repeatedly notified before the expulsion. “This student made different appeals at the university, distributed lists, pasted posters on walls. He admitted that there was no any political motive,” Maharramov underlined.

The head of BSU noted that no student addressed to the university administration to ask his rehabilitation. Quite the contrary, thousands of students are against his studying at BSU.
